I keep obsessing about morning routines after yesterday's blog post. The main reason for this is that it has completely changed my life.
This morning, I read the summary of the book "What the Most Successful People Do Before Breakfast" by Laura Vanderkam on Blinkist
She says, in short, that successful people use their mornings intentionally to focus on important personal priorities before the day’s demands take over.
Why mornings? Well simply because...
Willpower is strongest in the morning.
Fewer interruptions allow for greater focus.
Sets a positive, proactive tone for the day.
What do successful people do before 9am? They often spend morning time on: Exercise (physical health)
Spiritual practices (prayer, meditation, reflection)
Personal projects (writing, learning, planning)
Goal setting (reviewing priorities for the day and long-term goals)
Quality time with family
The Key Takeaway is... Small, consistent morning habits can lead to big results over time. You do not need to copy others but should identify your highest priorities and protect morning time to work on them.
Question: What is your biggest hurdle in taking advantage of starting a morning routine?
